Easter 2009
Ok...so I've been slacking some on keeping this updated so I thought I would try and catch up from the past few months. We'll begin with Easter. :)
Michael was excited about dying Easter eggs. He really enjoyed mixing the colors and putting the eggs into each cup.
Unfortunately, he had a hard time being patient to let the eggs get colored. He would keep watching and checking them to see if they were done yet.
Rachael eventually came over to see what we were doing. She thought all the cups of color looked like fun. After almost spilling them and getting a picture, we sent her back to playing.
Despite a phone call or two to the Easter Bunny about behavior, the kids awoke Easter Sunday to baskets with new toys and some candy. Michael was excited to get his Stanley, a friend of Thomas', as well as a sheriff badge. Rachael was excited for the candy.
She kept taking the bite size Snickers over to Daddy to unwrap for her. He tried to tell her she'd had enough but then she would give the puppy dog eyes and she'd end up with "just one more."
After going through his basket, he went over to introduce his new trains to his old ones. He said that Thomas was really excited to see Stanley.
After getting dressed, he continued playing with all his trains. Notice his badge...he doesn't take it off most days and it even goes to the park and store some days.
Rachael eventually got around to playing with her Little People castle. Notice the chocolate face though. :) She really enjoys playing with her castle and letting the people dance.
Overall, I think the kids had a really nice Easter. We were able to just relax and enjoy the day since we had Stake Conference so we didn't head to church.
