He has been so excited for his birthday. We've been counting down on his calendar to the day and it was finally here.
We started the day with a run to the store for more frosting for his cake. He was excited because we also picked up some balloons and a mylar Thomas balloon. He also was happy to tell everyone that it was his birthday.
When we got home from the store, there was a package on the step. Michael figured out it was for him and had fun opening the package from Granny and Grandpa Lenderman. He really liked the new game and wanted to play it right away. He also carried the monkey around with him. He didn't know what to think of the clothes but Mommy liked them.
After pizza, he was excited to come home and open some presents. He got some new books that he couldn't wait to read. Right after opening them, he had to do a brief read-through of the Thomas book before finishing opening his presents.
He finally has his own Wii game. He really enjoys playing the Wii but most of the games are too advanced for him.
He got a large Fire Truck puzzle from Grandma and Grandpa Dietz. He is really into emergency vehicles and puzzles right now so this was a great gift.
He got a new 4 lane race track. We figured he had enough cars that he could use a race track to go along with them all.
He got a cooking set from Grandma Dietz. He really enjoys helping in the kitchen so now he can cook up his concoctions with his own stuff.
Here is Michael with all his birthday loot. He sure is a spoiled kid! He is excited to play with everything.
After opening all the presents, Michael had to introduce Madge to all his other trains.
Here the kids are playing with the new racetrack. This thing is 6ft long but does fold up nicely for storage. They had a blast racing the cars over and over.
Michael's birthday cake made by Mom. It is a chocolate cake with vanilla icing. The road is cookie crumbs and the grass is green sprinkles. Both kids had fun helping make it but fell asleep before it was finished. Michael was surprised by the Bob the Builder birthday toys on top.
Blowing out the candles on the cake. It took a few blows but he finally got all 4 candles out.

Since we ate pizza, we were too full to have cake. Michael didn't mind because he just wanted to play with the Bob the Builder toys that were on top. He tried to have them play in the cake but I put a stop to that.

The next morning, Michael decided to make some breakfast for us when he got up. He said he was making eggs. Not sure how many pans it takes but he had a lot of fun.
Overall, Michael said this was "his best Birthday ever!" Thank you to everyone who sent gifts, cards, and birthday greetings. He loved everything.
